  • May 6- July 10, 2008: Michela Mascia - stage “IFTS/CIPE Ricerca” at CRS4 as final requirement of the course on TECNICO SUPERIORE PER IL MONITORAGGIO E LA GESTIONE DEL TERRITORIO E DELL'AMBIENTE. The stage is entitled “GRIDA3 advanced open source software tools for environmental management and planning” under the tutorship of Giuditta Lecca (OR4) and Eva Lorrai (OR7). The stage includes theory and practice of a broad spectrum of software applications integrated into the GRIDA3 portal and more. The chief application software analyzed are: PostgreSQL, postGIS, gvSIG. The stager will make an end-user evaluation of the online simulation graphical user interfaces (AQUAGRID-PHREEQC geochemical DB) and a GIS application to the Capoterra aquifer using the SINTACS method.
  • Sept 18-19, 2008: Giuditta Lecca - lectures on Coupled groundwater flow & contaminant transport model; AQUAGRID technological platform to simulate large and complex contamination problems and geochemical data analysis at the Ph.D School in Environmental and Land Engineering and Sciences, Sept 1-22, 2008, Università degli Studi di Cagliari, Italy.
  • Sept 22, 2008- Apr 30, 2009: Andrea Girau - stage “ ImpresAmbiente--BORSA FORMAZIONE TRASFERIMENTO TECNOLOGICO NEL SETTORE DEI RISCHI AMBIENTALI” at CRS4 focused on the process of transfer technology and innovation from research activities towards the operational activities of small and medium enterprises in the sector of environmental risks. The stage includes the development and testing of a modeling study on “Acid Mine Drainage Reactive Transport Model with PHREEQC” -as a part of the AQUAGRID portal- to be proposed to stakeholdes in the field of groundwater contamination from mining activities (tutor: Giuditta Lecca).
  • April 20- MAY 15, 2009: Samir Nahhal stage at CRS4 on “Optimization of pumping and injection rates in the Gaza aquifer (Palestine) using CODESA-3D coupled with Genetic Algorithms” as a partial fullfillment of the requirements for the Master Degree in Water Resources Engineering - Islamic Unviersity, Rafah - Gaza - Palestine (tutor: Giuditta Lecca).
